We are so glad you are here, because we love opportunities to tell our visitors
 all about ‘Exchange’!

The Exchange Club is America’s Premiere Service Club-- an all-volunteer nationally-based centurian service organization of people working together to make our communities better places to live and work through programs of service focusing on themes of Americanism, Community Service, and Service to Youth. Moreover, our national project is our network of over 100 Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Centers throughout the country, and we are also partnered with the American Red Cross!

Our core values are Family, Community, and Country. We are one of more than 700 local clubs representing more than 22,000 members throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, and we are always looking for those who value and promote the importance of community service. Could that be you? We hope so!

So please look through the information on this web site and learn more about the Exchange Club of Columbus. We hope to hear from you soon!

Would you like to help support
the Exchange Club of Columbus?

Our community is well-known for its concern and generosity. Community Service is alive and well in the Chattahoochee Valley area, and the Exchange Club of Columbus epitomizes that commitment to improve the overall quality of life for our family, friends, and neighbors!

The Exchange Club of Columbus, which has been serving our community since 1946, is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization. All contributions go toward funding our club’s community service activities that we perform year-round! Please click the ‘What We Do’ menu option at the top of the page and see the many community service projects and activities we are involved with throughout the year.

Our first choice is for you to join our club! But we also welcome and value any and all contributions that assist us in providing community service projects throughout the year, helping to make Columbus a great place to live and work. If you’d like to help support our efforts, please consider making a small contribution in any amount you wish, by simply clicking the ‘Donate’ button below.

Thank you in advance for your generosity!

SandraNearhoof1A message from Sandra Nearhoof, our current Club President...

Welcome to the Exchange Club of Columbus’ website! If you are looking for an opportunity to make a positive difference in our community, we want you to know that the Exchange Club is America's premier Service Club!

This visitor-oriented friendly website is a great way to learn more about the Exchange Club and what we do in the community. We perform various community service programs, categorized in three general areas: Service to Youth, Community Service, and Americanism. Contained in each of these three broad categories are various projects that we undertake all year round (please see our ‘What We Do’ page by clicking the menu choice at the top of the page).

We also actively participate in National Exchange’s Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) project, raising thousands of dollars every year for this worthy cause. Finally, we participate in National Exchange’s partnership with the American Red Cross association.

To fund these year-round projects, we raise money with historically traditional events like our “nearly-world-famous” Foot-Long Hot Dogs, sold during Fair week; our pancake breakfast at Callaway’s annual Hot Air Balloon Festival, our annual winter Pancake Jamboree, and our annual Golf Tournament at Bull Creek.

The Exchange Club’s motto is Unity for Service. For 68 years now, we have been serving in unity in the Columbus area. We continue to be a very active service club, and we are always looking for new members to join with us and help make a difference in our community. With so many different ways to participate, I am confident that you could find a project that interests you and gives you an opportunity to make a positive difference in our community.

I would like to personally invite you to enjoy lunch on us at one of our Thursday meetings. I promise that you will not be disappointed by what you find and the friends that you will make. Please feel free to contact me or any other member (please see the ‘Who We Are’ page by clicking the menu choice at the top of the page). We would love to have you in our club.

Exchange Club Covenant of Service

Accepting the divine privilege of single and collective responsibility as life's noblest gift,
I covenant with  my fellow Exchangites:

To consecrate my best energies
to the uplifting of Social, Religious, Political and Business ideals;

To discharge the debt I owe to those of high and low estate
who have served and sacrificed that the heritage of American citizenship might be mine;

To honor and respect law, to serve my fellowmen,
and to uphold the ideals and institutions of my Country;

To implant the life-giving, society-building spirit of Service and Comradeship
in my social and business relationships;

To serve in unity with those seeking better conditions, better understandings,
and greater opportunities for all.
