We are so glad you are here, because we love opportunities to tell our visitors
 all about ‘Exchange’!

The Exchange Club is America’s Premiere Service Club-- an all-volunteer nationally-based centurian service organization of people working together to make our communities better places to live and work through programs of service focusing on themes of Americanism, Community Service, and Service to Youth. Moreover, our national project is our network of over 100 Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Centers throughout the country, and we are also partnered with the American Red Cross!

Our core values are Family, Community, and Country. We are one of more than 700 local clubs representing more than 22,000 members throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, and we are always looking for those who value and promote the importance of community service. Could that be you? We hope so!

So please look through the information on this web site and learn more about the Exchange Club of Columbus. We hope to hear from you soon!

Exchange Club Covenant of Service

Accepting the divine privilege of single and collective responsibility as life's noblest gift, I covenant with  my fellow Exchangites:

To consecrate my best energies to the uplifting of Social, Religious, Political and Business ideals;

To discharge the debt I owe to those of high and low estate who have served and sacrificed that the heritage of American citizenship might be mine;

To honor and respect law, to serve my fellowmen, and to uphold the ideals and institutions of my Country;

To implant the life-giving, society-building spirit of Service and Comradeship in my social and business relationships;

To serve in unity with those seeking better conditions, better understandings, and greater opportunities for all.

PeggyLambertA message from Peggy Lambert, our current Club President...

Welcome to the Exchange Club of Columbus’ web site. Our non-profit Club was established locally in 1946 and for 71 years we have been serving our community.  We are a group of volunteers who are civic minded; service oriented and we are committed to making Columbus a better place to live.

We are a part of the National Exchange Club that was established in 1911 and has over 650 clubs and 20,000 members nationwide to include Puerto Rico.

Through our Programs of Service – Americanism, Community Service, and Youth Programs – members support activities that benefit youth, promote pride in our country, and honor military and public service providers, to name a few. Exchange’s National Project is the prevention of child abuse.  Locally, we are a Partner in Education with Rothschild Leadership Academy. Our Service to Youth programs include, High School Student of the Month and Student of the Year Awards, and the ACE Award program, which recognizes students who have overcome major obstacles while achieving an education. Our “winners” (to us they are all winners) can compete for scholarship funding at the Georgia District and National level.

We also actively participate in National Exchange’s Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) project, raising thousands of dollars every year for this worthy cause.  The dollars we raise are distributed locally to ensure we do our part to stop child abuse.

How do we do all that we do?  By conducting various fund-raising projects.  These consist of our annual Pancake Sale at Callaway Gardens over the Labor Day Weekend in conjunction with the Hot Air Balloon Festival.  Of course, we have our annual Foot Long Hot Dog Sale in October; our Pancake Jamboree in February; and our Golf Tournament in April.  We also have other fund raisers like the Silent Auction and quilt raffle.

Boy we are busy! But all for a good cause and all funds raised go back into our local community!  We pay it forward and we are committed to making a difference.

Why don’t you come join us?  You can be my guest at your first meeting!  We meet on Thursdays at noon at the St Luke Ministry Center and offer a once a month nightly meeting.  Cost to join is only $45.00 a quarter.  Visit our Facebook page for more information!  I’ll be looking for you!
